Choose the Form of Your Destructor

It's a cold and rainy Hallo-weekend here in Pittsburgh, so that means there will be long periods of snuggling up under blankets and binge-watching our favorite Halloween movies. That obviously includes the original Ghostbusters -- I mean, who doesn't love a comedy about dudes in jumpsuits trying to save the human race from an ancient god and a monstrous man made of marshmallow?
Thinking about all that really got us in the mood for s'mores...and cocktails...and s'mores cocktails...and our favorite tiki mug of the Stay Puft man....
So we whipped up a nice little dessert cocktail to go with our
movie-watching, and we'll be enjoying
it from said tiki mug. We invite you to
drink your s'mores and enjoy Ghostbusters this weekend as well --
no super-niche, nerdy tiki mug required, we promise!
Nice Thinkin', Ray
Makes 1 cocktail
1 1/2 oz. cognac
1 oz. dark creme de cacao
1 oz. graham cracker milk (see below)
Glass rim: milk chocolate & crushed graham crackers
Garnish: toasted marshmallows
First, make the graham cracker milk:
Place 2 graham crackers into a bowl with 4 oz. of whole milk. Let sit out at room temperature for 15 minutes to infuse. Strain graham cracker solids out of the milk and discard. Stir 1 tsp. of light brown sugar into milk and stir until completely dissolved. Set aside while you prepare the rest of the cocktail.
Next, prepare the glass:
Crush 1 graham cracker into sandy pieces of various sizes in a shallow dish. Melt some milk chocolate (we used a couple squares of Hershey's) in the microwave until it turns to liquid (10 seconds at a time). Stir until smooth. With a small spatula, line the rim of your glass with the melted chocolate in a thin stripe. Swirl the chocolate stripe in the crushed graham cracker until covered. Toast two marshmallows for the garnish and slide them onto a cocktail pick.
Finally, shake the cocktail:
Add cognac, creme de cacao, and graham cracker milk to a cocktail shaker with ice and shake vigorously until well-chilled. Strain into your prepared glass and garnish with the toasted marshmallows.
Sip & enjoy! Happy Halloween!
