Well friends, Mother's Day is just around the corner, and even though it's a commercialized holiday, it is nice to slow down and dote a little extra on all the womxn who hold a special place in our hearts!
Our love language is cocktails, so of course we'll be showering our beloved ladies with delicious tipples. Today, we have a round-up of simple-yet-stunning cocktail recipes for every type of cocktail lover. Mix up one (or more!) for the amazing womxn in your lives and garnish it with a big slice of LOVE!

For the boozy cocktail lover
Nothing beats an exquisitely made Manhattan. Bonus points and extra fanciness if you smoke it!
Manhattan
2 oz. bourbon or rye
1 oz. sweet vermouth
2 dashes Angostura bitters
Garnish: cherry
Stir together ingredients with ice in a mixing glass. Strain into a pre-
chilled coupe (no ice) and garnish with a cherry. To smoke it (optional!),
we used the Smoke Top Cocktail Smoke Infuser from
@middletonmixology. Sip & enjoy!
For the fizzy cocktail lover
Bring on the BUBBLES! This is a gorgeous variation on the classic French 75.
French 125
1.5 oz. cognac (or brandy)
1/2 oz. freshly squeezed lemon juice
1/2 oz. simple syrup
2.5-3 oz. champagne
Garnish: lemon twist
Add cognac, juice, and syrup to a shaker with ice and shake until well-
chilled (about 15 seconds). Strain into a champagne flute and top with
champagne. Garnish with a long, thin lemon twist. Sip & enjoy!
For the tropical cocktail lover
So juicy!
The Jungle Bird
1 1/2 oz. dark, blackstrap, or Jamaican rum
3/4 oz. Campari
1 1/2 oz. pineapple juice
1/2 oz. freshly squeezed lime juice
1/2 oz. Demerara syrup (1:1 syrup with Demerara sugar)
Add all ingredients into a cocktail shaker and shake with ice until well-
chilled. Strain into a glass over fresh ice. Garnish with a pineapple
wedge, lime wedge, or cherry - whatever’s got you feelin’ fancy! Sip &
enjoy!
For the refreshing cocktail lover
Ahhh...feels nice going down.
The Paloma
2 oz. blanco tequila
1 oz. freshly squeezed grapefruit juice
3/4 oz. freshly squeezed lime juice
3/4 oz. simple syrup (1:1 sugar to water)
2 dashes grapefruit bitters
Soda water, to top
Add all ingredients except soda water into a cocktail shaker with ice and shake until well-chilled. Strain into a glass over fresh ice and top with soda water. (If you’re using a tall glass, be careful not to over-dilute with the soda water.) Sip & enjoy!
For the hot cocktail lover
Warm and cozy to accompany that breakfast in bed. For fans of chai tea!
Sugar, Spice, and Everything Nice 3 oz. hot water
2 oz. bourbon
1 chai tea bag 1/2 - 1 oz. maple syrup (depending on preferred sweetness level) 2 dashes of chocolate bitters
Optional whipped cream topping: 4 tablespoons of heavy whipping cream
1 teaspoon maple syrup 2 dashes of chocolate bitters
Heat water to approximately 190 degrees and steep chai tea for 3 minutes, then remove the tea bag. Into the tea, stir bourbon, maple syrup, and chocolate bitters. Serve in a warmed Irish coffee glass or mug.
To make the whipped cream topping, use a mixer to to whip heavy cream, maple syrup, and chocolate bitters. Add a dollop to the top of the beverage. Sip & enjoy!
